A happy figure that's lightweight and bounces when tapped on his head, encouraging baby to crawl after it.

The Senses:
-Jumpy’s smiling face and pleasant colors develop baby’s sight.
-The combination of textured plastic and soft fabric develops touch.
-The different sounds develop baby’s hearing.
-The combination of these stimuli encourages baby to bat, shake, and explore Jumpy using his hands and mouth.
-As baby looks at the toy, feels it and listens to the sounds, he develops his sight, sense of touch and hearing, as well as the coordination between them.

Gross Motor Skills:
-As baby lies on his tummy, leaning on one hand while reaching for the toy with the other, enjoying the way it jumps when he strikes the head, and striking it again, he develops his neck and shoulder muscles and practices shifting his weight from one hand to the other.
-The first stage in preparation for learning to crawl.

Fine Motor Skills:
-Baby develops hand control by:
-Holding Jumpy’s head, arm or one of the balls on its legs, baby passes it from one hand to the other, practicing different grips.
-Shaking Jumpy in diverse ways.

Cognition:
-Jumpy’s flexibility and bouncy spring encourages your baby to examine how it bounces.
-Baby learns that a soft push will cause Jumpy to move slightly, and a forceful push or strike on it's head will cause it to jump.
-Baby shakes Jumpy to hear the fun rattling sounds and learns how to make it bend in all directions.
-These actions teach your baby the connection between his actions and their reactions (cause & effect).
